linke is exploring the theme of Origins in a group show at the Beth Hulme Gallery & Studio

For the Origins series of paintings, linke has drawn inspiration from her Torres Strait Islander origins.

The animals of the islands have formed the centre of each work. These creatures are then framed by patterns and shapes from traditional drums, headdresses and spears.

Opening night is Friday 2 May 2014, 6pm-8pm. The show runs through to 24 May.

Beth Hulme Gallery is located at 646A Nicholson Street, Fitzroy North in Melbourne.
